Joining the military is often a decision that will change you for the rest of your life. Do you know teens considering military service? Make sure they are as informed as possible before signing a long, legally-binding contract. Cañada College Library presents Truth in Recruitment night, where a member of Before Enlisting share vital facts and perspectives teens should consider before joining.

Rosa del Duca, Iraq War conscientious objector and author of Breaking Cadence: One Woman’s War Against the War, and Eddie Falcon, Air Force veteran and representative of Before Enlisting, will lead the discussion. The presentation includes a mini documentary highlighting the perspective of a dozen post-9/11 veterans, and resources for teens, parents and teachers. Questions and discussion will be encouraged.
